Power Drills cuts the time you spend standing at the vault door drilling it open. Silent and Sneaky does not use drills — it uses lasers — so this prep is wasted on that approach. For Big Con and Aggressive, where time at the vault directly affects how much loot you grab, completing this prep is worth the small effort.

Walkthrough

Locate the drillsLester marks a construction site or industrial yard on the map. The drills are inside crates guarded by 3 to 5 construction workers.
Take out the guardsQuietly, ideally. A silenced pistol works. Alarms trigger backup waves if you go loud.
Pick up the drillsTwo drills total. Each must be carried separately — you can drop one to grab the second.
Stash in a delivery vehicleA truck or pickup with a flatbed makes this easier. Drills go in the bed automatically when you approach.
Drive to the ArcadeStandard delivery cooldown. Survive any cops on the way back.

Tips & Strategy

If you are running Silent and Sneaky, skip this prep entirely.
Drills do not affect the hacker's timer — they affect how long the vault door takes to physically open.
Combine with a strong hacker (Avi Schwartzman) for maximum vault time on Big Con.
